In 2008, amidst the daily urban hustle, Scott and Wayne, the visionary founders of Wicked Brew Coffee, found their inspiration in a surprisingly common predicament. A casual conversation with a friend, who voiced a familiar lament about the arduous quest for a morning caffeine fix, struck a chord. This friend, like countless others, experienced the frustrating routine of brisk walks, enduring queues, and the ever-present pressure of the ticking clock as the workday relentlessly approached. This shared experience resonated deeply with Scott and Wayne, who themselves had often found themselves in similar predicaments, navigating the pre-work rush with multiple caffeinated options at the ready.
This collective frustration sparked a revolutionary idea: the profound convenience of a drive-thru coffee location. The concept, initially a fleeting thought born from a shared need, rapidly gained traction in their minds. They began to ruminate on the immense benefits a drive-thru outlet serving exceptional quality coffee could offer to the time-pressed consumer. This period of reflection quickly transformed into a determined pursuit of the idea.
A Passionate Pursuit of Perfection: The Wicked Brew Coffee Difference
The remarkable success of Wicked Brew Coffee is far from accidental; it is a testament to Scott and Wayne's unwavering dedication and meticulous research. This intensive process, akin to wine tasting, involved meticulously sampling and evaluating numerous coffee varieties to identify the perfect blend. Their unwavering commitment to quality paid off handsomely, culminating in the creation of their signature eight-bean Premium World Blend by our Brisbane-based Roaster– a testament to perfection in every cup. This commitment extended beyond the product itself; their vision encompassed a reliable drive-thru café model that offered not only their Premium World coffee beans but also consistently great service and a reasonably priced menu.

The journey from concept to execution was not without its challenges. Finding an ideal drive-thru location proved to be a significant hurdle due to the scarcity of suitable sites. Undeterred, Scott and Wayne leveraged this period to promote and sell their exceptional coffee beans through an online store, building an early following and further solidifying their brand.
Then, in October 2010, two years after those initial conversations and reflections, their vision materialized into Wicked Brew Coffee Cafe and Drive Thru. This landmark establishment became the first drive-thru coffee outlet in the Redlands region and the third in the wider Brisbane metropolitan area, marking a significant milestone in the local coffee landscape. With qualified chef Wayne as co-owner, they meticulously oversaw a growing team of 15 dedicated staff members at their Capalaba location. This establishment quickly became known as a reliable drive-thru café, synonymous with premium coffee beans, exceptional all-round service, and an accessible, reasonably priced menu.

With the critical element of a high-quality coffee blend firmly in place, Wayne's culinary expertise seamlessly integrated with Scott's keen understanding of the busy professional's needs.
